I started by exploring the brand's website, pulling screenshots, and identifying areas of opportunity with the client, being sure to prompt them to note what they liked about the site and the existing brand identity. This collaborative brainstorming process was done using FigJam. I uploaded full page screenshots of the existing site to a board and asked the clients to notate what they loved/hated. I also communicated ideas with the client by posting inspiration to the board.
After the brainstorming phase, the clients requested wireframes of the Product Page, to decide on a new layout for the site. I created 3 different options to begin visualizing how the information could be laid out, placing an emphasis on large product imagery and ease-of-use. After seeing the wireframes, the clients requested moving onto Mockups. I used this opportunity to explore some of the different color, font, and style options I had come up with.
The clients chose their favorite Product Page mockup, and I got to work expanding this aesthetic to the rest of the site through additional mockups and eventually a full prototype. Once the clients were happy with the designs, I got to work building in Shopify, and was able to match my designs to their satisfaction. They were extremely satisfied with the redesign and it's still in production today.
