I’ve always been curious about others. From my background in theater embodying the lives of others onstage, to my degree in Psychology learning what makes us who we are, I’ve always had a deep fascination for learning how we think.
After exploring a few different career paths, I taught myself how to code, and eventually earned my Master's Degree in Software Engineering. I started working as a Front End Developer, and I quickly became enamored with the world of UX Design. My background in Psychology and Software Engineering is the perfect intersection of how I approach design: rooted in understanding us first as humans, and then through the lens of how we can make it happen. I've now spent around 6 years honing all of these skills as a UX Engineer.
My work has always been cross-functional and diverse in every sense; I’ve worked in Client Success, Marketing, Design, and Engineering, which has made me particularly adept at understanding where stakeholders are coming from, building empathy with cross-functional teams, communicating design solutions effectively to each audience, and incorporating feedback when iterating on designs.
I've worked in FinTech, Fashion, Social Media, Retail, Tech Support, and even the zoo! I've created marketing strategies for big businesses and startups, designed and developed products across all marketing channels, and, most importantly, I've been told I'm a hoot and a half.
Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, cooking, photography, and taking care of my cat (Korra).
